DFW Area Alumnae Association Initiatives:

 The DFW Area Alumnae Association collects Labels for Education and donates them to the Delta Gamma Schools for the Blind. The schools use the labels to purchase Braille books and other educational toys, software, and equipment for the children.  For information regarding the program and what to clip     http://www.labelsforeducation.com/earn-points/participating-products

We also collect Box Tops for Education.  Delta Gamma mission-related schools can each receive up to $20,000 per year for material needed to make tactile books, the purchase of electronic reading devices, and other supplies not covered by shrinking school disrict budgets.  For information regarding the program and what to clip:   http://www.boxtops4education.com/participating-products

 

Here are some other ways that DFW Area DGs contribute to our fraternity's philanthropy:

• Support of Delta Gamma Foundation
• Collection of used eye glasses to help visually impaired children/adults
• Collect toiletries for a group home for the visually impaired
• Donating Large Print Books to the Local Libraries 
• Compile Braille Bibles
• Support of Alexander Vision Clinic at Cook Children's Medical Center
• Assist UNT's Gamma Nu chapter with philanthropic and eye related projects to further participation in our Foundation
• Provide Christmas decorating for Lighthouse for the Blind
